A Review of the Different Aatrox Skins
The Darkin Blade Aatrox has existed as a myth for aeons but it is only now that he completely reveals himself. Still many questions arise: is he an angel, demon, or a primal force? Does armed conflict summon him or does he initiate it before his triumphant apparition? With this different Aatrox skins, we get to realize that he can become anything else.
Justicar Aatrox
This skin presents Aatrox as a being of war. Instead of an evil force that draws humans to conflicts, he is depicted as a celestial savior at the vanguard of battles. His aesthetic displays places him at a more polished and less mundane light. While it allows a fresh look for Aatrox, it also removes the appealing and intrinsic viciousness of his appearance and manner.
Mecha Aatrox
In this skin, Aatrox transforms himself from being a Darkin Blade into a machine. Come Massacre, this Aatrox skins displays its full capability even for only a few seconds. The new particles offers an interesting look that is complemented by the new sounds. While Mecha is a good skin, it really does not grab attention until Massacre is on.
The skin has some moments that can really be satisfying. However, those moments are limited and most of the time it is underwhelming. The Mecha Aatrox can be attractive to both visuals and audio but does not manage to impress.
Sea Hunter Aatrox
This skin turns the Darkin into a pirate. However, thanks to the fantastic interpretation of the concept, this skin stands out from the usual buccaneer. Its gargoyle-like appearance evokes the shape of certain sea creatures. The lack of proper boots can be justified by his adeptness to move underwater as well as over it. His outfit is also fitting for a seafaring adventurer as he would use what he finds. His blade features a mix of fish spine and boarding saber. This skin is unique in a sense that it incorporates both piracy and the sea into a whole.
There are not many options available for Aatrox but the few skins he has is quite unique. The Justicar Aatrox is the recommended skin as it provides an idealized version of the bloodthirsty Darkin Blade. His aesthetic shows some similarities with an angel but his classic one has some things in common with a demon. The Justicar Aatrox is an attractive reinterpretation that still offers enough appeal even if he is not surrounded in celestial might.
